This next update from V4.1.6 to V5 will be a quite complex update as now both systems: ladder and group stages will be implemented. V4.1.6 only had tournaments which will still function independently. For either tournament or ladder you opt to whether you want to run group stages, this will allow more slots and the winners of each group are the qualified contestants to enter. (e.g. 32-man tournament, 64 registered in groups and 32 qualify)

  • Randomized or specific group registration
  • Automatic match setup for reporting
  • option: participants must vs against all other participants (more matches, more fairness)
  • All matches recorded in module, including game/inscribed/confirmed date & user-report
  • Qualify according to match wins/losses OR points from matches
  • Qualifyers automatically shown and available to register once all matches are complete
  • Participants shown in different groups, following their match stats
  • Group A and B only for 8-man tournament or ladder
  • Group A-D for 16-man tournament or ladder
  • Group A-H for 32 OR 64-man tournament or ladder

  • Unlimited ladders group by platforms for 1on1 or teams
  • Customize your own mappacks and assign to each ladder
  • Use your existing teams prior to V5

  • Credibility - e.g. 3 points win, 1 point draw, 2 points loss. (customize own points)
  • Name/abbreviation/gametype
  • Credit deduction for inactivity/idlers (repeats)
  • Remove idlers
  • Required ratio competence level
  • Gameaccount association
  • Start/end times and ladder status (sign-up phase, closed, started)
  • Play type: Challenging only, Open-Play only OR BOTH.
  • Advanced 3-step challenging system to allow fair match initiation between challenger and challenged
  • Comprehensive customizable challenge system to suit your needs
  • Forfeit awards if user does not respond or finalize challenge on time
  • Challenger can allow or disallow challenged to alter server information provided by the challenger
  • Real-time information showing you the exact time/dates for forfeits/responses etc
  • Set the timezone in admin
  • Challenged can forfeit challenge, forfeit awarded to challenger
  • Challenger can forfeit challenge, forfeit awarded to challenged
  • Automatic match report setup after challenge is finalized by challenger
  • Per-ladder: challenger selects 1 date/time from challenged's selection (1-5)
  • Tracks all challenge information and will automate tasks according to the ladder settings and submissions.
  • Select how many dates/times and maps challenged can choose from 1 dropdown to 5 for 2nd step.
  • Set timeintervals for each date/time in drop-down. (e.g. every 15 minutes per time)
  • Set when dates/times must end in drop-down (e.g. show all dates/times prior to 1 week.)
  • Set how many dates/times challenger must select in advance. (e.g. dates/times are 3 days ahead)
  • Select how many maps challenger can finalize from challenged's selection (1-5)
  • Set how many days match must be played after the finalized date
  • Set if after-date reporting must be enforced.
  • User can challenge up by how many points?
  • User can challenge down? No or if yes, how many points?
  • Set how many challenges can be initiated
  • Tables for deductions/challenges/standings/rules/matches
  • Hall of Fame .per ladder
  • Set startup credits, if reaches 0 user is unranked. (10 credits default)
  • Handy tools to cleanup your cup
  • Support & Protest Ticketing System

This is an integration which means you can use your existing teams to register to ladders etc.

There is no download available, I am hoping to finalize the BETA version by next month. This is your opportunity to share any feedback or suggestions if you like. It's important that I mention there may be more bugs in the tournament than there were before. If you want to run tournaments only for 32 cups or less, stick to V4.1.6. Only major change is the 64-man extension with full autoswitch compatibility.

Should be wikid good work man any chance of the group stages being used as a league system as they are pretty much the same thing except like top 2 example would go up a division bottom 2 drop for example.

As of now this would be easy to adapt but right now it can be only used for one division, qualifiers for tournament ladder league. After you can run group stages independently with multiple divisions as a seperate league all together.

Wow, brilliant! Really looking forward to this.

About the feature, cause I haven't used cup addon systematically, does the cup addon supports media upload specific to signle match? The media type could be demo, screenshot etc.

Also, is there a sort of match finder or gather function?

getting query failed which means its installed the database fully or partially for the cup...so now what? lol is there specific tables for the cup? without affecting my site DB

The big news is it will be released VERY soon. Should be this week THIS week...
Problem is I do not know what is wrong with the website, and I got a very busy week with other things too.

The good thing anyway is I got the addon packaged up and installed it away from that site.

Hi!

I'm fairly new at this but I have some questions. I've been using Joomla for my 3 gaming communities but just came across webspell and with this addon it fits my exact needs.

I've downloaded and installed the mod but I cannot see anything related on the front page. What can I do to have the options like on http://team-x1.co.uk I mean Latest Tournaments, Latest Ladders, and the Tournaments and Ladders pages, Winners.

You mentioned something about a FAQ but I haven't been able to find any unglücklich


PS. I managed to create a 1 vs 1 cup but whatever I do it's closed even if in the admin section i'm putting it either Sign-up or Started. Is this a bug ?

No it is not a bug. Queries work in the background to automatically set the status of the cup according to the start and end times. As for your other question, you will need to use hyperlinks on your index.php page. <e.g. <a href="?site=cups">my cups</a>

Also, you might aswell wait for V5 now.

Release date: Wednesday 2nd March.
