Hi there, when writing some regular news on the site, I tend to have certain formats that can take 5/10 or so minutes to setup everytime I do the post. I was wondering how difficult it would be to come up with a news template solution, so that you could add various different templates, then on a click of a button (similar to bbcode maybe) it would insert all the template into the create news box.

For example: when I do a "League of Legends - Free Champion Rotation" weekly post, I display the 10 pictures with links, to the profiles on the official Riot site.

Each time I do a post, I have to input the URLs, input the pictures, and also input a set piece of text to state all info images & rights belong to Riot.

However if I could have a template that would apply all of this to a post:


Then each week all I'd have to do is click a prenamed template button (e.g LoL - Free Champ. Rotate), all of the information above would appear, then I could just insert champ URLs and IMG URLs and post. It could save alot of time, for regular posts with same layouts.

Any thoughts on this? Cheers

Coding this would be more work than you creating a folder on your PC, where you insert Textfiles with the "Tempaltes-Content" you need.

I guess it would, how easy is it to create bbcode like buttons?

I've always wanted to tinker with my own settings and wishes for bbcode, for galleries and things too, I think it could be rather useful, but as you say the coding is detailed. On a scale of using webspell for someone else (in a similar way to what I've suggested) isn't all that acceptable though, to tell someone that's easier than coding it.

That almost sounds too good to be true! I always thought editing bbcode would be daunting.

I will take a look at this very soon, as it could be a really simple solution.
