My website is live right now..its its fine...not exactly what i want it to be, so instead of being lazy i'm going to take a pro-active step and learn how to edit.

I want to change the colors and over all appearance of how the match detail page is layed out and comments are layed out..

Can anyone point me to which file(s) have to be tweaked in order to get on the right track?

You can edit most color and style settings in Admincenter (-> Settings) -> Style.

Layout of the comment function:
Edit these files:
templates/comments.html
templates/comments_*.html

match detail

templates/clanwar_details.html

after about 2 hours or so of fiddling with it....i have a whole new respect for you all =o) -

it is not really hard, just invest 2-3 evenings in learning (x)html/css. http://www.w3schools.com is a good start for beginners.
