transparent = nothing; no hex-colors

for me this works perfectly and overrides the bgcolor="..." atrributes

Yeah, I know that.
But I can't set it as nothing, it has to be set as a hex colour... and there is no hex code for transparent...

It's in the settings, the stylesheet.

White backgrounds appear wherever "bgcolor="$bg1"" appears.
Is there a way to assign $bg1 to nothing instead of having to go through all files and remove it all?

Why would anybody want to put a link at the bottom of their site?
All you will have done is edit the regular webspell files and remove a few pieces of text.
If it was your work, then okay. But you sound plain and ignorant for what you said in all honesty.

For the sake of the Webspell community, I'd be willing to share the files once I sort them out myself and wouldn't want anybody to put a footer in or anything. You can't claim work is yours when all you've done is edited files created by Webspell which aren't your work or property.
Please, don't make me laugh.

i think no one else ever had the situation, that he had to set everything to transparent so..

Like I said, I had done it before.
Therefore, how on Earth you are all coming to the conclusion that I'm lazy, God knows.
I had the files but lost them since one of my external hard drives was wiped.
Hence I was asking if somebody else had the files available. Which you seem to do, but prefer bragging than sharing them.
Which is fine by me, but somewhat amusing.
I also asked a very good friend of mine who also works with webspell and he had the files in the past but lost them too since he doesn't work with webspell a lot.
I'm more than happy to sit down and re-do it myself, since it's not rocket science.
I just thought it would save me 30 minutes to ask on these forums and see if anybody had the files and wanted to share them to make my life easier.
But unfortunately, it seems that all the replies which are coming my way are from people who wish to do nothing but call me 'lazy' for asking for some files to be shared to make my life easier.
Helping people out can get people places, believe it or not.
